ESA minimum: 1 week per year of service, maximum 8 weeks (or pay in lieu).

ESA s.64–66: If employee has 5+ years AND employer Ontario payroll ≥ $2.5M, severance = 1 week/year (max 26 weeks).

Additional Payments & Benefits

Any additional payment beyond calculated common-law notice as goodwill gesture.

ESA s.60 requires benefit continuation during statutory notice period. May be extended for common-law notice.
